okay. gonna try and not make this too long... what I would like to say most is that i am SO 100% ABSOLUTELY FUCKING HAPPY! why? because i finally managed to get corel painter X! i've been trying to get the program (illegally downloaded for free, of course) FOREVER, since i kept passing by SO many amazing artists who use the program and felt extremely jealous of their work. BUT the problem was i couldn't find where to download the program for free ANYWHERE. so i got extremely pissed and went on a rampage a couple times about not being able to get it. no worries now, though... i did a bit more rummaging around and found a site where i downloaded it and was successful! so that totally made my day. and that actually brings us to this drawing right here! my very first using the program! ... holy crap... i never realized how different and strange the program was... @_@ it took me a while to test all the brushes and figure out the settings and try to work all that shit. i still don't even know most of it... probably never will. but what i'm very pleased with was the outcome of this drawing. having been my first time using the program, i expected it to be ALOT more shitty.... but i actually like it. so, if i get more comfortable and familiar with the program... who knows how much i'll like my future drawings... *_*
that's prety much all i have to say. oh, wait, before i forget... as for my explanation of the piece, incase you're unfamiliar with the recent manga chapters of the manga 'Naruto', the two characters in the drawing are 'Suigetsu' and 'Karin': two new members in Sasuke's new cult team. two chapters or so after their entrance, i immediately fell in love with them as a couple (they're not a canon couple... yet); their hate towards eachother is so hot and... ah, i just love it. anyways, yeah, so i love them alot now.... and hence decided to draw them. i did intend to draw this just for the sake of testing out painter, but i ended up going a little deeper than that. anyways, yes, here is part of my contribution to the fan-pairing and dedication to the NF SuiKa FC and my friend Kairi (who also happens to be a hardcore fan of this pairing... and i just included her because dedicating to people sounds cool... and she's just awesome <3). oh, and yes... the background is watermelon-based. you'd only understand if you're a member of the SuiKa FC... or understand what it means in japanese~ |
